immediate relief to those in poverty and has been serving citizens of Greater Los Angeles since 1896.

named Volunteers of America
as one of the nation’s top five human services
organizations.
The agency operates twenty-three programs serving destitute children and families, runaway teens, the homeless and the forgotten elderly.
Volunteers of America of Greater Los Angeles is staffed by six-hundred employees and five-hundred
volunteers. The annual budget of $30 million is provided through contributions from individuals, businesses, government funding and the United Way.
