The
Community of Angels project was initiated by the Volunteers of America of Greater Los Angeles to support vital youth programs including Head Start, Respite Care (child care for the disabled), Youth Shelters, Transitional Residential Programs, Upward Bound (academic program to help disadvantaged students get into college) and many others.
Our goal is to provide inspiration to the greater Los Angeles community through the eyes of local artists and through the encouragement of local businesses, organizations and individuals. In doing so, the Angels have become an outward expression of how we feel inside and they add beauty to the landscape of the city and reflect its cultural diversity. And quite an unusual way to build corporate pride and recognition.
