CENTRAL CITY SCREENING AND EVALUATION helps homeless individuals suffering from substance abuse problems receive diagnostic and referral services.
REXO-Gen 3 Jobs Program Outpatient program focusing on reintegration that provides job development, case management, and mentoring services to incarcerated/formerly incarcerated individuals. Must be convicted male or female released from state or federal prison to Central Los Angeles, Boyle Heights, East Los Angeles, and surrounding areas within the last 180 days. Cannot have a history of violence or a sex offense. STEP (Special Treatment Entry Program) 90-day outpatient substance abuse treatment program that provides case management and wraparound services for individuals who have been recently released from jail. Screening and in-custody services may begin four months prior to release from custody. Must have an original sentence of at least six months in jail, as well as transitional/permanent housing arrangements. Just In Reach Participants obtain permanent housing through intensive case management, job development, and mentoring. After a thorough assessment, clients develop an action plan, establish relationships of trust, focus on employment, and create a stable crime-free home. Clients come to us via jail in-reach and referrals from the Community Transition Unit. A partnership with the Sheriff’s Department and Amity Foundation, funded by Corporation for Supportive Housing. Must have had 3 episodes of homelessness in the last 5 years and been incarcerated at least 3 times in the last 3 years. CENTRAL CITY RECOVERY 6-month co-ed residential substance abuse treatment program for individuals who are under the supervision of the criminal justice system. The program also offers non-medical detoxification and services for dually diagnosed individuals. Must be under the supervision of the criminal justice system e.g. court-order, probation, parole. Cannot have prior arson charge or be a registered sex offender. All prospective clients must undergo a screening to determine further eligibility. Watch a video. VS-90 is a transitional housing program for male veterans on parole or probation. The program provides intensive case management and individual and group therapy in a sober living environment, as well as job referrals, linkage to benefits, and money management. Veterans in this program work towards obtaining and saving income, increasing self determination, reducing institutionalized thinking, and transitioning into independent housing.
