Enjoy your child's early years.
The Early Head Start Program provides comprehensive child development, parenting, prenatal education, early intervention and family support services for pregnant women and children from birth to three years of age. |

Programs and Services include:
- Prenatal education and parenting classes for parents and pregnant women
- Half-day
pre-school care for toddlers, with a high teacher to child
ratio and meal service
- Nutrition,
health and dental services
- Housing;
food assistance; domestic violence education and
counseling
- Mental
health and disability evaluation; programs and referrals
- Home
visiting for infants and toddlers provides instruction on
child development and helps families with other types of
support.
- Group
classes are small and offered in English and Spanish.
Weekly
group socialization activities provide opportunities for
parents and children to meet and receive additional training.

Eligibility
- Pregnant
women
- Children
from birth to age three
- Children
with disabilities are accepted.
- Children
and families with special needs are eligible.
- Children
are accepted regardless of race, religion, or ethnic
origin.
- Children
must be properly immunized upon entering the program
including a current TB test by family members, within the
past twelve months.
- Early Head Start and Head Start Services are offered at no cost to families the program is free to low income families that live within the program service area. Children with Special Needs also qualify for services. Please call for more information (818) 980-2287.
- The
programs are funded by the US Department of Health and
Human Services' Administration for Children and Families
through the Los Angeles County Office of Education. An
excellent example of taxes at work.
