For the job of
Teacher:
Applicants need to
have a minimum of an AA in Child Development or related field including 24
units in Early Childhood Education, 6 units in Administration, 2 units in
adult supervision, and 16 General Education units. Must also have a valid
Child Development Teacher Permit, 4 years teaching experience, plus a
physical examination and verification of recent TB clearance at the time
of employment, to be renewed annually. Requires possession of current
CPR/First Aid Certification, be able to transport children when necessary
and therefore have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and
legally required auto insurance. Fingerprint clearance a must; bilingual
(English/Spanish) a plus. Must be able to interact with children in a very
busy environment; therefore, must be physically able to perform lifting
(45 lbs.), squatting/kneeling, move quickly, and the like.
