Current Campaigns

We're seeing more and more folks coming to us for assistance while at the same time funding for programs is being cut back substantially.  These Current Campaigns represent the programs and services that need your immediate help the most.


 

SENIOR NUTRITION & SUPPORT FOR THE ELDERLY  Betty White helped us launch our annual campaigns to support our programs for the elderly at the 24th annual “I Remember Mama” luncheon and is continuing to help during the holiday drive. Click here to learn more or donate now

 

VETERANS INITIATIVE CAPITAL We have embarked on a capital campaign for three building renovation projects designed to meet the increasing need for housing and services for veterans, including veterans and their families.  These  programs will focus on single mothers, families at risk of breaking up, the chronically homeless and the multitude arriving from Iraq and Afghanistan. YOUTH EMPOWERMENT We have an ongoing campaign to raise money for college scholarships, ongoing program enhancements, leadership and literacy programs, afterschool social and cultural activities and mentoring to help cour youth develop a stronger sense of self-confidence around their ability to obtain an education and to succeed in life. VOALA ROTARY HOUSE - HOMELESS SERVICE CENTER  A major renovation of our landmark 20,000 square foot homeless service center is in progress. Our goal is to be environmentally responsible in the construction of this facility, and provide an enhanced continuum of services within a place of shelter, dignity and hope for the homeless on Skid Row.
