| In 2000, VOALA and a group of community partners created a public art project to raise funds for charity, showcase regional artists, and celebrate diversity. Over the following years, hundreds of six-foot angels descended upon our city and county sidewalks, public parks and plazas. Now many of the angels are looking for a good home. A Community of Angels Hundreds of six foot angels were decorated and painted by local artists and celebrities including Whoopi Goldberg, Alyssa Milano, Jim Henson’s Creature Shops, and the cast and crew of According to Jim, That 70’s Show, Mad TV, and The West Wing. Sponsors included L.A. Kings, Leonardo di Caprio Foundation, Walt Disney Co., William Morris Agency, Bank of America, LA5 Rotary Club, KLM Foundation, and others. To view the angels click here.
