"Margaret
O'Connell and I were friends through High School, College, and
1st year Medical School. We enjoyed doing similar things, studying,
socializing, and vacationing together. She found Medicine too
difficult and left for Nursing School receiving her R.N. degree
and staying in the East while I married and moved to the West.
She went on to earn a master's degree in nursing.
I
attended her wedding as her Matron of Honor and am godmother to
her first child. We kept in touch visiting each other as often
as possible although less often as we aged. Margaret died in 2002."
