| Family History ... Mother made a search of our family tree and found that we are related to John Alden and Priscilla Mullins of Mayflower -Pilgrim fame. She also discovered that Mother and Dad were 5th or 6th cousins. Mother's father was killed by a run-away wagon in 1903, and her mother died in 1904. Her mother and sister married brothers, so when Mother was left an orphan, her uncle and aunt adopted her as their own - same blood- line, same relatives, and they were childless, so it was a happy happenstance. Mother also found that somewhere in England there is a Goodrich castle, but it has never been actually located if still existing. |
